Unaweep is from a Ute Indian word that means canyon with two mouths. Unaweep is the only canyon in the world where the water flows in both directions. Experience the majestic granite walls of Unaweep Canyon for private guiding or professional instruction. Sweet Multi-Pitch in a Spectacular Setting

Sweet Sunday Serenade is one of our favorite multi-pitch routes to guide. 3 pitches of amazing granite offer 400 feet of great climbing to the top of the Sunday Wall, one of the most popular and prominent walls in Unaweep Canyon. With a rating of 5.9, Sweet Sunday Serenade is accessible to most climbers particularly because the majority of the climbing is 5.7 and 5.8 with just a few spots of 5.9. The Sundeck Ledge atop the second pitch is an airy yet secure hang with plenty of room to kick back and enjoy the views. From the Ledge, you can take your pick of a number of fine options to the top. Three rappels back to the ground complete this outstanding journey.

Glenwood Climbing Guides operates in Unaweep Canyon on lands owned by the Western Colorado Climbers Coalition with cooperation of the Access Fund, a non-profit organization that works to preserve access to climbing areas across the country. We encourage all of our guests to be members of the Access Fund and to be involved at their local climbing areas to help preserve and protect access.

Glenwood Cilmbing Guides has committed to give 5% of each trip we guide in Unaweep to the Access Fund and the Western Colorado Climbers Coalition.
